About Us
Canada's most disruptive EAP
Our business was created in response to a growing need for leadership to provide their teams mental health support.
People just don't use regular EAPs. We've changed that.

Our Story
We are a team of Canadian doctors & therapists driven to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Prior to Recharge, we worked on policy with the World Health Organization and with patients in medical clinics in Ontario. We connected over wanting to make more of an impact on more lives. Clinical work was too ‘zoomed-in’ and policy work was too ‘zoomed-out’. We’ve learned that we can make the most positive impact when we work with corporate teams. We’ve learned that most companies want to take really good care of their people. And we love helping them do that.
We've spent 10 years learning how to engage people in wellness initiatives in the corporate context. We match people with resources they want and help them navigate their way.
As for credibility; We are trusted by over 60 of Canada’s fastest growing employers. We’ve been at this since 2014 and we have over 65 years of combined clinical experience on our leadership team.
2014
Recharge was founded
We began as a team of doctors & therapists going into offices. We learned something really important - people who weren't using wellness services often needed them. We started having conversations with staff and that changed.
2018
Wellness program launched across 43 offices
We added mental health services and a full suite of educational sessions. We began supporting our clients with wellness program strategy development.
2020
Pre-EAP Mental Health Program Launch
We answered to call from clients for better mental health support. We launched an 18-month research project to learn why stressed people don't use EAPs.
2022
EAP Launched
Based on what we learned doesn't work, we built an entirely new business model to support a robust EAP, specialized in mental health support. The pilot groups had encouraging results, with 38%, 59% and 72% of staff engaged.
